June 8 (Saturday) Arrive Vilnius
Arrival in Vilnius, transfer to hotel. Check-in to Hotel Amberton**** or similar.
June 9 (Sunday) Vilnius – Trakai – Vilnius
Today we offer an excursion to Trakai, the medieval capital of Lithuania, with the well preserved Trakai Castle, beautifully located on an island in Lake Galve. The afternoon sightseeing tour includes a panoramic tour of the city and a walking tour of the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Peter and Paul Church, St. Anne’s Church, Old University, the Jewish ghetto and the Gates of Dawn. In the evening there will be a welcome dinner with a traditional Lithuanian program.
June 10 (Monday) Vilnius
After breakfast, we will have meetings from 9am – 12pm. From 900am and 1030 will be with Government Officials and from 1100am – 1200pm will be with Invest Lithuania. Lunch will be provided. After, we will visit the largest international investors in Lithuania (Nasdaq, Western Union, etc).Continue to the Vilnius Blockchain Centre. Blockchain Centre (BC) Vilnius is the first blockchain technology centre connecting key stakeholders in Asia, Australia, and Europe. A state-of-the-art coworking and shared office space for blockchain start-ups, BC Vilnius joins partner BC’s in Melbourne and Shanghai to incubate and accelerate blockchain start-ups while sharing information about new blockchain opportunities. In the evening, there will be an optional dinner reception at the US Embassy in Lithuania.
June 11 (Tuesday) Vilnius-Hill of Crosses-Rundale-Riga
After breakfast, morning meetings from 900am – 1200pm with AmCham LT, Vilniaus Klubas, etc. After your meetings, continue to Riga. The first stop is the Hills of Crosses, one of the most holy sites of Catholic Lithuania. Lunch will be provided on route. After crossing into Latvia we soon reach the magnificent Rundale Palace, the former summer residence of the Duke of Courland. Following a guided tour of the palace we travel through the rolling hills of Southern Latvia to reach Riga late afternoon, check-in at Hotel Wellton Centrum Spa**** or similar. In the evening there will be dinner with a traditional Latvian program.
June 12 ( Wednesday) Riga
After breakfast, we will have meetings from 9am – 12pm. From 900am and 1030 will be with Government Officials and from 1100am – 1200pm will be with Investment and Development Agency in Latvia. Lunch will be provided. Private walking tour through Riga Old Town will take you to the most remarkable sights like St. Peter’s Church, St. Jacobs Church, Dom Square and St. Dom Cathedral. During the private Riga Old Town tour guests will see the Powder Tower, the Swedish Gate and city walls, the oldest stone residential dwellings in Riga known as Three Brothers, the Great and Small Guilds. You will hear an interesting story of Cat House and will see Town Hall Square with beautiful and elegant Blackheads House. The tour will take you to pass by Riga Castle and the building of the Parliament. In the evening there will be an evening reception at the US Embassy in Latvia with AmCham Latvia.
June 13 (Thursday) Riga – Parnu – Tallinn
After checkout, depart for Tallinn. The tour continues along the coastal highway to the Estonian summer resort of Parnu. We do a short tour of the resort before we continue through the North Estonian land of forests and arrive in Tallinn early afternoon, check-in at the Hotel Three Sisters**** or similar. In the evening, there will be a reception at the US Embassy in Estonia.
June 14 (Friday) Tallinn
After breakfast, we will have meetings from 9am – 12pm. From 900am and 1030 will be with Government Officials and from 1100am – 1200pm will be with Enterprise Estonia. Lunch will be provided. In the afternoon, embark on a 2-hour walking tour of Tallinn’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. As your guide explains the history and culture of the area, visit the most significant sites of the Lower and Upper Old Town. Enjoy a delightful stroll along romantic, winding cobblestone streets, past charming red-roofed buildings, hidden courtyards, and the best-preserved medieval tower in northern Europe. In the picturesque Lower Town, admire the fortified medieval town wall with its many towers. Also see the impressive 600-year-old Gothic Town Hall, the Town Hall Square, and the Town Hall Pharmacy, one of the oldest continuously functioning pharmacies in Europe. The route then brings you to the Upper Town, known as Toompea. Here you can take a look at the elaborately decorated Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the largest Orthodox Church in the city, as well as the Houses of Estonian Parliament, and the Dome Church, one of the oldest churches in Estonia. Enjoy the panoramic views from Toompea Hill over the Lower Town and across the rest of the city. Your private tour concludes with a drop-off back at your city center hotel. After there will be a series of meetings arranged by Amcham Estonia. In the evening, there will be dinner with a traditional Estonian program.
June 15 (Saturday) Tallinn
Depart from Tallinn for a scenic 1-hour ride to Lahemaa National Park, the largest national park in Estonia. On arrival, embark on an exploration of the beautiful expanse with your experienced guide and discover a landscape home to 14 lakes, eight rivers and four waterfalls. Head first to Palmse Manor, a regal 18th-century residence once home to prominent barons; admire the antique furniture and beautifully restored decoration within as you tour the house and its informative open-air museum. Lunch will be provided locally. Continue your Estonian education by visiting Sagadi Manor, another grand structure built in the 18th-century and decorated in distinct Rococo style. After your tours, enjoy some leisurely free time to explore the park and its natural splendor before reconvening with your guide at a pre-arranged time. Relax during the return trip to Tallinn, where the tour concludes.
