March 1 (Sunday) Arrive Vilnius
Arrive Vilnius and check into the Hotel Amberton. Welcome Dinner in the evening.

March 2 (Monday) Vilnius – Druskininkai
This morning you will depart for Druskininkai, the oldest health resort in Lithuania . The pride of this town is its mineral springs. In 1794, the king of Poland and Lithuania announced a decree officially designating it as a health resort. However, it became a health resort only after I. Fonberg, a professor of Vilnius University, studied the spring water and recommended to the Czar government that this town should establish a resort in the area (1837). During your visit to the health center, everybody will have an opportunity to try mineral bath procedures for a fee. Check-in to hotel Europa Royale Druskininkai**** .

March 3 (Tuesday) Druskininkai–Juodkrante-Nida-Klaipeda
Today you will drive to Klaipeda. Continue through Klaipėda where you’ll be transferred by ferry to the Curonian Spit. The peninsula of the Curonian Spit is a narrow strip of land separating the Baltic Sea from the Curonian Lagoon. It is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Before arriving Nida, you will stop in Juodkrante. While in Juodkrante, visit the Hill of Witches which houses hundreds of fanciful and folksy wooden sculptures scattered along a forest path. At the end of the day, return to Klaipeda and check in at the Hotel National*** .

March 4 (Wednesday) Klaipeda-Kretinga-Palanga-Klaipeda
Sightseeing tour of Klaipeda – Lithuania’s third biggest city – a historic seaport and resort. Visit the Old Town of Klaipeda with the Theatre Square, the statue of Ann from Tharau, numerous old streets and buildings, Linden street with the old post-office and Mazvydas Sculpture Park. Continue to Kretinga. Visit Kretinga Museum, which exhibits the history, traditions, crafts, and lifestyle of this part of Lithuania. In addition, the tour will include an exotic winter garden of the former palace with an all year flourishing plants and nice water cascades. Finish off the day with a visit to Palanga, the biggest seaside resort in Lithuania (25 km from Klaipeda). This city tour includes a visit to the Botanical Garden and Amber Museum in the Palace of Count Tyszkiewicz. This museum houses over 25 000 pieces of amber and 15 000 inclusions of insects. Return to Klaipeda at the end of the day.

March 5 (Thursday) Klaipeda – Plokstines Missile Base – Vilnius
After breakfast we start your journey to Vilnius. Enroute you will make stop at Plokstines Missile Base. Plokštinė missile base (Lithuanian: Plokštinės raketų bazė) was an underground base of the Soviet Union. It was built near Plokščiai village, 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) north of Plungė, in the sparsely populated Plokštinė forest near Plateliai Lake, Samogitia, Lithuania. This was the first nuclear missile base of the Soviet Union, built to house underground R-12 Dvina ballistic medium-range missiles. In 2012, a Cold War Museum was opened at the site. Continue to Vilnius and arrive at the Hotel Amberton.

March 6 (Friday) Vilnius
Today we will begin with a full day tour of Vilnius. From its first ruler, the Grand Duke to today’s democratically elected government, Vilnius has a rich and varied history. First visit St. Peter and Paul’s church, St. Anne’s and St. Bernadine’s church, the Gates of Dawn with the Holy Image of the Virgin Mary, the Russian Orthodox church of the Holy Spirit and the Cathedral with its underground catacombs. From there, you will get an opportunity to see St. John’s Church, Town Hall Square, the TV tower, the KGB Museum and Vilnius University — one of the oldest universities in eastern Europe (founded 1579). You will also visit the Gediminas Castle. From the top of this castle, you will witness some of the most spectacular views of the city and its surrounding rivers.

March 7 (Saturday) Kaziuko Muge
Inspired by the nature awakening in spring, people also came out of the homes and hold one of the largest and most beautiful fairs – Saint Casimir’s Fair (Kaziuko muge). The three-day event held in major cities of Lithuania turns their central squares into a colourful feast of verba (Palm Sunday flowers), adorn with pot paintings and wood carvings, and flavors of delicious bagels. The fair is filled with songs, dances, voices and echoes with good emotions and contagious laugh – check out the festival at the end of winter and celebrate together.

March 8 (Sunday) Kaziuko Muge
For those who enjoy attending these fairs, going on the last day may give you an opportunity to find some last minute deals. Farewell dinner in the evening.

March 9 (Monday) Depart Vilnius
Check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
