Tour Outline

Arrival in Vilnius, (pick up the car from the car rental office at the airport), check-in at Hotel Vilnia**** or similar.

Vilnius is known for its more than 1,200 medieval buildings and 48 churches. The afternoon is best spent in the Old Town with Vilnius Cathedral, Gediminas Tower, Old University and the Gates of Dawn.

Spend the afternoon in Vilnius or take a short 30-minute trip to Trakai, a picturesque town surrounded by lakes. The highlight is Trakai Island Castle, a beautifully restored red-brick fortress set on an island in Lake Galvė

As you leave Lithuania’s capital, the scenic drive north leads you to the Hill of Crosses, near Šiauliai — one of the country’s most moving landmarks.
Continuing toward Latvia, make sure to stop at the magnificent Rundāle Palace, often called the “Versailles of the Baltics.” Designed by the Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli, this 18th-century Baroque masterpiece dazzles with its richly decorated halls, grand staircases, and beautifully landscaped gardens. Take your time to stroll through the palace grounds or enjoy a coffee at the garden café before continuing your journey. By the time you reach Riga, you’ll have experienced a captivating blend of history, architecture, and culture — turning a simple drive into a memorable day of discovery between two Baltic capitals. Check in at Hotel Monika Centrum**** or similar.

Dedicate a full day to exploring Riga, Latvia’s vibrant capital and the largest city in the Baltics. Start your morning in the Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with cobblestone streets, Gothic spires, and colorful Art Nouveau façades. Visit landmarks such as the House of the Blackheads, St. Peter’s Church, and the Riga Cathedral, then enjoy a coffee at one of the cozy cafés lining Dome Square. For a taste of local life, stroll through the Central Market, one of Europe’s largest, housed in former zeppelin hangars and offering everything from smoked fish to seasonal
berries.

In the afternoon, take a short 30-minute drive or train ride to Jurmala, a charming seaside resort town on the Gulf of Riga. Famous for its white-sand beaches, wooden villas, and pine forests, Jurmala is the perfect place to relax after sightseeing. You can stroll along Jomas Street, enjoy a leisurely meal at a beachside restaurant, or simply unwind by the sea, breathing in the fresh Baltic air.

Traveling from Riga to Tallinn is more than just a drive between two Baltic capitals — it’s a journey filled with charming seaside towns, natural beauty, and cultural treasures along the Baltic coastline. As you leave Riga, head north toward the Gulf of Riga, where the road passes through peaceful pine forests and small fishing villages. Make your first stop in Saulkrasti, a laid-back coastal town known for its sandy beaches and scenic Sunset Trail, which winds through dunes and pine trees with lovely sea views. Continue north to Salacgrīva, a great place to enjoy fresh seafood by the harbor. Crossing into Estonia, the route leads you through Parnu, often called the “summer capital” of Estonia. This lively resort town offers wide beaches, elegant wooden villas, and a relaxed atmosphere — perfect for a stroll along the promenade or a stop for lunch at a beach café. Check in at the Hotel Kreutzwald**** or similar.

Spend a full day discovering Tallinn, Estonia’s beautifully preserved medieval capital
where old-world charm meets modern creativity. Begin your morning exploring the
Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its cobblestone streets, Gothic
spires, and colorful merchant houses. Visit Town Hall Square, the heart of the city, and
climb the Town Hall Tower for sweeping views over the red rooftops. Don’t miss St.
Olaf’s Church, once one of the tallest buildings in the world, and the Alexander Nevsky
Cathedral, an impressive symbol of the city’s layered history.

For lunch, enjoy traditional Estonian cuisine at one of the atmospheric medieval-style taverns or cozy cafés tucked into narrow lanes. In the afternoon, you have several
great options depending on your interests.

You can continue exploring by heading up to Toompea Hill, where you’ll find stunning
viewpoints and the Estonian Parliament building. Art lovers might visit the Kumu Art
Museum or the Telliskivi Creative City, a trendy district filled with galleries, boutiques,
and street art. If you prefer a slower pace, take a short trip to Kadriorg Park, home to
the elegant Kadriorg Palace built by Peter the Great, or venture to the Seaplane
Harbour Museum, where interactive exhibits bring Estonia’s maritime history to life
